" I have sold my property and want to invest the proceeds to generate future returns. I am looking for a high return with a low risk. "
A wish that many investors pursue. Unfortunately, a certain desired return also involves a certain risk. At Wealtheon we help you to make your risk appetite transparent based on rational and emotional principles. We help you to achieve your financial objectives without having to worry about this all the time.
" Part of my assets has been built up by my parents. I would like to preserve and grow these assets in order to pass it down the generations. "
Wealtheon, as a second-generation family business, we know only too well what it means to preserve and accumulate capital. Investing involves risks. But risks can be controlled and with our experience and investment strategies we help you achieve your objectives.
" Soon I will sell my company. Until now, I have managed my company and therefore have a good grip on my current assets and income. How should I do that if I no longer manage a company but private capital? ”
A very common and justified question. Before you put your money to work to ensure future growth and income, it is important that you first make an in-depth financial review of your desires and objectives. Wealtheon can assist with establishing your needs and wants and will use its expertise to guide you along the way as a trusted partner. This will allow your assets to provide you with income and achieve your financial objectives.
" A manager of my assets must be someone who knows me and my family personally and who is aware of my financial objectives. Someone I can blindly trust and with whom I can build a long-term relationship. I don’t like having to talk to a different "relationship manager" time and time again. "
At Wealtheon, mutual trust and a long-term, personal relationship are high on the list regarding our clients. We have a very low turnover of portfolio managers and some relationships have been working with the same portfolio manager for generations. Each client, in addition to the portfolio manager dedicated to him, also has contact with one of the Wealtheon executives several times a year.
" When I discuss my portfolio or investment strategy, I want to speak to a specialist and not to a relationship manager who must first get his explanation from a colleague. "
Every portfolio manager (= relationship manager) and every director at Wealtheon is actively involved in the investment policy, which is determined weekly during the Investment Committee meetings. With whoever you are in contact with Wealtheon, they are up to speed with the current investment strategy and investment decisions.
" As a family office that represents the interests of a select number of families, it is our most important task to take our clients’ worries away as much as possible. For this we only work with the best professionals who are able to deliver real added value. "
Wealtheon has been an asset manager for many years for renowned family offices globally. We know what is important in this collaboration: short lines, clear reports and mutual understanding of each other’s roles. As a medium-sized, internationally operating company, we are big enough for professionalism and small enough for customized solutions.
Care and attention for your assets, based on a personal investment profile, easy to set up, clear periodic statements, face-to-face meetings and online access to information on your portfolio at any time.

In our view, asset management has to be objective, personal and understandable for all of the parties concerned.

Wealtheon has its roots in General Investment Management (GIM), a company founded in 1971 by Peter Zwart. Prior to that time, investing primarily consisted of long-term holdings of equities or bonds in large companies that paid dividends or coupons.
From experience, we know that this philosophy can result in significant losses. GIM therefore decided to take a different approach, actively anticipating and taking advantage of any expected economic developments that might have an impact on profits and equity prices, to achieve an average result that outperformed the market.
As an independent asset manager, GIM had no ownership links with any banking institutions. GIM invested in companies listed on the stock exchange while always ensuring that the interests of clients ran in parallel with the interests of the asset manager. With assets in excess of 5 billion euro, GIM grew to become one of the largest independent asset managers in the Benelux.
In 1999, GIM was sold to an Anglo-Dutch private bank. Following the end of the five-year non-competition period, in 2005 Peter Zwart and his son Victor set up a new independent asset management company: Wealtheon. In line with the philosophy adopted since 1971, the focus of the investment strategy is on « growth » stocks.
In 2020 Wealtheon saw the opportunity to expand its services with the acquisition of Torrebos Consult SA. Managing director Naard Broeckaert has joined as shareholder and member of the board of directors at Wealtheon. The acquisition allows Wealtheon to offer an investment strategy focused on « value » stocks. This strategy is complementary to the growth strategy and is often combined for larger portfolios with a broad asset mix.
Today, the group is active in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Wealtheon’s philosophy is an extension of what set GIM apart: a flexible, consistent investment policy that focuses on protecting assets while achieving attractive results, as well as clear communication and personal service. These aspects are still of fundamental importance to Wealtheon today.
Our investment experts manage portfolios on a daily basis, relieving clients of administrative chores. The Wealtheon investment committee constantly adjusts our investment selections to meet current and expected market developments, while keeping a close eye on any attendant risk. Protecting and growing the assets entrusted to our care are central to everything we do.
Our clients are the most valuable part of our organisation. Their interests are our interests. That is why we combine our experience and expertise with transparency and strong commitment. We know from experience that this approach, together with attractive investment results, is crucial for lasting, productive relationships. You will find this approach in all of our services.
For us, corporate social responsibility is a natural part of the way we do business. Wealtheon contributes to the improved welfare of people through the Wealtheon Foundation, an independent organisation that directly invests funds contributed by Wealtheon and other donors in a number of carefully selected good causes and projects. In this way, we invest effectively in a better world.
